SudokuSwap (sudokuswap.com) is a free daily puzzle game. This page explains what data the site handles.
No account is required to play. For signed-out players, all game data — solved boards, daily results, streaks, in-progress boards, and preferences (theme, animation style, colorblind mode) — is stored only in your browser's local storage on your device and is never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser's site data erases it.
You may optionally create a free account to sync statistics across devices and appear on leaderboards. Authentication is handled by Clerk; you sign in with Google or an email address, and we never see your password. When you play while signed in, we store your puzzle results (board, swap count, star rating, hints used, solve time and date) together with your account's display name and avatar image address on our servers, hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Your display name and avatar appear on public leaderboards alongside your daily results and streaks; your other statistics are private to you. To delete your account and its stored data, email the address below from the email you use to sign in.
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can choose non-personalized ads instead. You can also manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings. For more detail, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We do not run any analytics or tracking of our own.
If SudokuSwap adds accounts or online features in the future, this policy will be updated before any personal data is collected.
